How to grow your Discord server

Growing a server takes two things: being seen and keeping people. If newcomers leave right away, promotion alone will not help.

Show the vibe before people join

List your main channels, busy hours and basic rules in the full description. People who know what to expect stay longer.

Stay visible with /up and reminders

The list is sorted by recent bumps. Bump every 2 hours and turn on reminders in /settings so your staff can take turns.

Let members spread the word

Recommendations from members push you up the rankings. Set a recommendation reward role in /settings and add a note to your announcements asking members to recommend every 12 hours.

Give people something to do

Use /party in a voice channel to post a recruiting message with a game button and one line to the Party Finder page. Post scheduled activities with /event so they show on the Events page.

Learn from the rankings

Check the Fastest growing, Most active and Voice tabs to see how similar servers are run. Use /ranking in Discord to see your own position.

Frequently asked questions

Q.Where should I start growing my Discord server?

List your server, invite the bot and start bumping with /up, and write a description that explains your channels and active hours.

Q.Why do recommendations matter?

They move your server up the rankings so more people see it. A reward role can be set in /settings.

Q.Can small servers make the rankings?

Yes. The Weekly and Fastest growing tabs are based on recent activity, not total size.
